We have a big two months of golf coming up with the Kidney Foundation Charity day on Monday 19th September, our men’s Open Amateur is on Saturday the 24th September, the last round of the Mixed Team series is on Sunday 25th September, the ladies Club Championships start on Tuesday 4th October and the first round of our Men’s Club Championships start on Saturday the 8th October. If anyone would like more information regarding any of these events please don’t hesitate to contact our always friendly staff in the Pro Shop.
The Central Coast League’s Club hit off at first light every Sunday morning and would like to remind everyone that they are welcoming new players. It isn’t just a social comp you can also enter into the medley Sunday comp as well. If you would be interested in joining them then contact the Pro shop and we will pass on your name.
A huge thank you for everyone that played in the Holden Scramble on the 20th of last month. This year we had a minimum of 2 members in each group which made the day a huge success. Congratulations to the winning team of Matt and Dan Snelson, Graeme Wright and Nathan Walbancke who shot an 8 under 63 off the stick which gave them 57 ½ nett and narrowly won on a count back from Steve Gibbs, Tim Verduci, Cameron Laing and Jarrod Keens. I now join the winning team to play at Kooindah Waters on the 24th October at the regional final and once we win there we will be off to Twin Waters to play the National final in December. Thanks again to Chris Craig and his team for sponsoring the day and for buying everyone a free drink!!
Mitchy is heading off to play in the Queensland Trainee Championships at Indooroopilly Golf Club from the 12th to the 14th September- so we wish him all the best.
