Members will have noted a number of changes to the course.
– Greens are now being cut at 4mm thus making them a little quicker
– Large tree on 18th fairway has been romoved including the stump
– Preferred lie distance has been increased to 30cms
– All Saturday competition is on the Blue Course
– Tee times for all holes are on all competition cards.
– New storm shelter being erected adjacent to the 5th Green

The pennant season has started and the ladies are representing the club in true style including their new shirts. Please come and support them.

CCDGA Seniors Week fo Golf
The event schedule for Gosford is for Thursday 13th September. This is being advertised on the CCDGA website as well as Golf NSW.
Club Match play.
As in previous years we have used the monthly medal as qualifying rounds for the championship. Last year we only had sufficient nominations to conduct the A Grade Championship. For this year any member wishing to play in the matchplay championships please nominate on the nomination sheet by 7 th May 2018. Draws will then be made for all to those who enter. We require a minimum of 8 nominations to conduct the championship for each grade. I have extended the closing time due to lack of response for B and C Grade. I will survey all members regarding whether there is any interest in these events including the foursomes.
Slow Play
There have been a number of instances where members have not acted appropriately. Members are advised that if they have problems regarding slow ply they should report this to the Pro Shop where all necessary action will be taken.
When on the course members are reminded of the following
- Please repair all divots on the greens,
- Please take a sand bucket
- Please rake the bunkers and leave the rakes in the middle of the bunkers
- Please keep up with the group in front
- Please stick to the ready golf principles
- Please do not drive carts in arears where they are prohibited.
